The 4th Made in Pakistan Exhibition drew a large crowd on the weekend holiday as Bangladeshi consumers and business visitors gathered to explore a wide range of Pakistani products in Dhaka.

The five-day exhibition, organised by the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI) to promote trade and business ties between Bangladesh and Pakistan, is being held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) from September 22 to 26.

More than 100 Pakistani exhibitors are showcasing products across various categories, including textiles and clothing, food and beverages, cosmetics, herbal and wellness products, handicrafts and fashion accessories.

PAEI founder M Khurshid Barlas told The Shuttle Times that the exhibition features a wide range of Pakistani products, including textiles, food items, electrical appliances, kitchenware and crockery, consumer goods, footwear, household products, gems and jewellery, fashion and fabrics, tourism and hospitality services, machinery and equipment, handicrafts and other products.

The weekend crowd included individual visitors and businesspeople interested in sourcing Pakistani products, particularly women's and children's clothing, as well as exploring potential business partnerships with exhibitors, he said.

Several stalls attracted significant attention as Pakistani brands and manufacturers showcased their products directly to Bangladeshi consumers and potential buyers.

The exhibition is also providing a platform for businesses from the two countries to establish contacts, discuss sourcing opportunities and explore potential trade and investment partnerships.

The event comes amid growing commercial engagement between Bangladesh and Pakistan, with traders and companies from both sides seeking to expand bilateral business links and diversify their products and sourcing channels.

The exhibition will remain open until September 26, providing visitors and business representatives with further opportunities to explore Pakistani products and engage directly with participating companies.
