Ahmed Foods offers discounts to expand Bangladesh market
DHAKA: Pakistani food products company Ahmed Foods is seeking to expand its presence across Bangladesh by offering discounts on a range of its products at the upcoming 4th “Made in Pakistan” Exhibition.
The company will participate in the exhibition alongside the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Opportunities Conference on September 22, aiming to attract local consumers and explore opportunities to expand its distribution network.
Ahmed Foods International Brand Manager Talha Rafiq told The Shuttle Times that the company will offer at least 30 percent discount on selected products during the event.
“Ahmed Foods products are available in the Chattogram area, but we want to expand our business across the country. We are trying to attract local consumers and giving more discount from the regular retail price,” he said.
Under the exhibition offer, Chilli Garlic Sauce (300g) and BBQ Spicy Sauce (300g) will be available at Tk 210 each. Tomato Ketchup (300g) and BBQ Smokey Sauce (300g) will cost Tk 240 each, while BBQ Sweet Honey Sauce (300g) will be Tk 270.
The company will sell Chilli Sauce (300ml) at Tk 210 and the 800ml pack at Tk 330. Green Chilli Sauce (300g) will be priced at Tk 210.
Among the other sauces, Soy Sauce (300ml) will cost Tk 180, while the 800ml pack will be Tk 470. Tamarind Sauce (300g) will be available at Tk 210 and Teriyaki Sauce (300g) at Tk 240.
The company will also offer Garlic Powder (100g) at Tk 250 and Ginger Powder (100g) at Tk 270.
A range of spice mixes will also be available at discounted prices. Beef Biryani Masala (60g) will cost Tk 120, while Behari Kababi Masala (60g), Bombay Biryani Masala (55g), Chat Masala (45g), Chicken Biryani Masala (55g) and Chicken White Karahi Masala (40g) will each be priced at Tk 110.
Fish Masala (45g) will be available at Tk 130, while Haleem Masala (45g) and Kofta Masala (45g) will each cost Tk 110.
The exhibition price for Mutton Biryani Masala (55g) will be Tk 120. Plain Biryani Masala (45g) and Pulao Biryani Masala (45g) will also be available at Tk 120 each.
Meanwhile, Qorma Masala (45g), Samber Masala (50g) and Shami Kabab Masala (50g) will each cost Tk 110.
Sindhi Biryani Masala (55g) and Special Delhi Nihari Masala (70g) will be priced at Tk 120 each.
Talha said the promotional pricing is intended to introduce more Bangladeshi consumers to the company's products and support its efforts to expand beyond its existing market in Chattogram.
The exhibition will also provide Ahmed Foods with an opportunity to engage with potential business partners and assess prospects for strengthening its distribution network in Bangladesh.
Founded in Karachi in 1952, Ahmed Foods started its business with traditional pickles and preserves based on Pakistani recipes.
Over the years, the company has expanded its portfolio to more than 200 food products, including spices, sauces, pickles and preserves, while seeking to combine traditional South Asian flavours with modern food production.
