E-commerce leader highlights expanding seller network, technology investments and support for local communities amid market speculation
Daraz Bangladesh has reconfirmed its commitment towards its digital commerce industry in the country and has stated that it is operating in its normal manner with sustainable growth and making strategic investments in the market.
The reconfirmation has been made following the reports from various media outlets regarding the strategic plan of action of the firm. Daraz stated that these reports do not represent the actual plan of action of the firm or even its everyday operations.
In its statement, the firm mentioned its commitment towards building up its presence in Bangladesh through technological innovation which would help it to become more efficient and improve the customer experience.

To make its strategic investment, Daraz has also increased its number of sellers and has brought on board more than 7,000 new sellers in the last one year.
The company stressed that it was dedicated to investments in scalable and sustainable digital commerce platforms and would continue its effort to cater to the ever-changing needs of consumers and merchants in Bangladesh.
In addition to being involved in its business activities, Daraz has kept up with its corporate social responsibility efforts by actively collaborating with humanitarian organizations during the floods in some of the regions in 2024. By contributing money from the company and its employees, Daraz managed to provide more than Tk 1.2 crore of assistance to those who suffered during natural disasters.
It can be stated that Daraz is still a market leader in terms of e-commerce in Bangladesh and works hard on empowering its sellers, creating brand collaborations and improving the overall customer experience and digital adoption rate.
