Nepal, Bangladesh Explore Stronger Economic Partnership in High-Level Meeting

Nepal's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, met with Humayun Kabir on Thursday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on strengthening economic partnership between the two neighboring countries.

During the meeting, Ambassador Bhandari and Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir exchanged views on a broad range of issues of mutual interest, including trade, energy, tourism, and people-to-people connectivity. The discussions reflected the shared commitment of both governments to further deepening bilateral relations through enhanced economic engagement and closer institutional cooperation.

The two sides emphasized the importance of promoting trade and investment, exploring new avenues for collaboration in the energy sector, and expanding tourism exchanges to capitalize on the cultural and natural attractions of both countries. They also highlighted the value of stronger people-to-people ties in fostering mutual understanding and supporting long-term bilateral cooperation.

Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular high-level dialogue and working together to unlock new opportunities for sustainable economic growth and regional connectivity.

Bangladesh and Nepal have steadily strengthened bilateral relations in recent years through cooperation in trade, energy, connectivity, education, and tourism. Diplomatic observers say the latest meeting underscores the growing importance both countries attach to broadening economic collaboration and enhancing regional partnerships in South Asia.
