Trade Fair Aims to Boost Bangladesh-Pakistan Agricultural and Food Trade
DHAKA, July 22, 2026 — The High Commission of Pakistan in Dhaka has invited Bangladeshi businesses, importers and trade delegates to participate in FoodAg 2026, Pakistan's premier international food and agriculture exhibition, as both countries seek to expand bilateral trade and strengthen business-to-business engagement.
The four-day event, organized by Pakistan's Trade Development Authority (TDAP), will be held from November 23 to 26, 2026, at the Expo Centre in Karachi under the theme "Harvesting Innovation, Cultivating Sustainability."
According to the Pakistan High Commission, the exhibition will provide an international platform for agricultural producers, food processors, exporters, importers and investors to explore new trade opportunities, technology partnerships and market access.
More than 500 exhibitors, 850 international buyers from over 80 countries are expected to participate in the event. The exhibition will feature business-to-business (B2B) meetings, agri-tech showcases, food processing innovations and culinary demonstrations aimed at promoting Pakistan's agricultural and food products in global markets.
The invitation comes as Bangladesh and Pakistan have intensified efforts to strengthen economic engagement through increased trade, investment and private-sector collaboration. Officials from both countries have recently emphasized enhancing commercial connectivity alongside people-to-people exchanges and tourism.
The High Commission encouraged Bangladeshi companies involved in agriculture, food processing, retail, hospitality, import-export and agribusiness to register for the exhibition and explore partnership opportunities with Pakistani businesses.
FoodAg 2026 is expected to serve as a key platform for fostering commercial ties between South Asian and international markets while promoting sustainable agricultural practices and innovation across the food value chain.
The exhibition reflects Pakistan's growing outreach to Bangladeshi businesses as both countries seek to diversify bilateral trade and deepen economic cooperation.
