Dhaka, 15 July 2026: Robi Axiata PLC has expanded its eco-friendly transportation initiative to deliver services faster to customers across various regions of the country. By increasing the availability of electric 'Robi Super Bikes' for field-level employees, the company has now launched this service in 458 upazilas and thanas across the country’s 64 districts. This allows Robi to optimize faster, more efficient and eco-conscious service delivery at the thana and union levels nationwide.

This nationwide rollout is designed to champion sustainable mobility, enhance digital service delivery, and secure a robust distribution footprint. Through these e-bikes, Robi’s field officers can provide customer support, raise awareness about digital services, and carry out operational activities more efficiently. Unlike conventional fossil-fuel-powered motorcycles, electric bikes produce zero emissions, helping reduce environmental pollution.

Commenting on the initiative, Robi Axiata PLC Chief Commercial Officer Shihab Ahmad said, “The Robi Super Bike initiative is an important step towards building a sustainable transportation ecosystem while enabling us to deliver digital services more effectively to remote parts of the country. Through this initiative, we are not only contributing to environmental protection but also ensuring faster and more reliable service for our customers.”

He added, “The expansion of the Robi Super Bike fleet reflects our commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and digital inclusion. It is a clear demonstration of Robi’s dedication to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting long-term sustainable development in Bangladesh.”

Introduced last year to support field operations, the bikes have a range of features to improve efficiency and convenience. Each bike is equipped with a convertible cargo box, a Robi-branded umbrella, USB ports for charging mobile devices and lamps, and an audio hand microphone for public awareness campaigns. For safety and operational monitoring, the bikes integrate advanced tech features including facial-recognition unlocking, geo-fencing, and real-time GPS tracking.

Through this green mobility initiative, Robi is reducing carbon emissions while strengthening its ability to deliver essential digital services to underserved and remote communities. By combining technology, sustainability, and customer-centric service delivery, the Robi Super Bike programme is helping improve connectivity and quality of life across Bangladesh.
