For the first time in Dhaka, Dhaka Discount Fest 2026' is set to be held in participating of 250 local and international brands and businesses
South Asia's largest discount festival, 'Dhaka Discount Fest 2026', is set to launch in the capital, bringing together quality products from local and international brands and businesses. For the first time in Bangladesh, this large-scale event is being organized exclusively to enable consumers to buy and sell products at attractive discounts. A total of 250 popular local and international brands, entrepreneurs, and businesses will participate. Visitors will be able to enjoy discounts of up to 75 percent, and selected products and services will also feature exciting offers, flash sales, and limited-time special discounts.
The announcement is made at a press conference held today (01 July) at Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka. The event is being organized by Eventcomm, with Ventora Communications Limited serving as the strategic partner. OPAS Communications Ltd. is the PR partner of this Festival. The press conference was attended by Dr. Md. Taslim Amin Shovon, Project Director of Dhaka Discount Fest 2026, Shafiqul Islam, Head of Operations, and Jinnat Ara Bari, Chief Facilitator for Women Empowerment.
The three-day festival will take place from 10 to 12 December 2026, at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Agargaon, Dhaka. Organizers said the event aims to become South Asia’s largest discount festival, featuring renowned brands and companies from Bangladesh as well as India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and several countries across Asia and Europe.
According to the organizers, the primary objective of the festival is to create a unified platform where consumers can purchase products from leading domestic and international brands at attractive prices while enabling businesses to expand their market reach and strengthen customer engagement. The festival will also provide emerging Bangladeshi brands with greater exposure and facilitate networking opportunities among corporate organizations and business stakeholders. To encourage participation, businesses and brands booking exhibition stalls by July 16 will receive an early-bird discount of 50 percent.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Md. Taslim Amin Shovon, Project Director of Dhaka Discount Fest 2026, said, "Dhaka Discount Fest 2026 is designed to build meaningful connections between local and international brands and consumers. We believe this initiative will strengthen Bangladesh’s retail sector, enhance brand-consumer relationships, and contribute to the development of a more dynamic brand ecosystem."
Shafiqul Islam, Head of Operations of the festival, said the event marks a new milestone for Bangladesh’s retail industry. "Dhaka Discount Fest 2026 is the first initiative of its kind in Bangladesh. Our goal is to make quality products more affordable through attractive discounts while bringing together local and international brands on a single platform. The festival will create new business opportunities, attract new customers, and open new avenues for retail growth, brand marketing, and consumer engagement," he said.
Highlighting the role of women entrepreneurs, Jinnat Ara Bari, Chief Facilitator for Women Empowerment at Dhaka Discount Fest 2026, said, “The festival would provide an important platform for women-led businesses. Thousands of women entrepreneurs across Bangladesh are producing high-quality products, but many still face challenges in reaching a wider customer base, building brand recognition, and finding business partners. Dhaka Discount Fest 2026 will help bridge this gap by allowing women entrepreneurs to showcase their brands before thousands of potential customers, corporate buyers, distributors, business partners, and media representatives,".
Organizers also announced plans to make Dhaka Discount Fest an annual event and gradually expand it across Bangladesh. Following the inaugural Dhaka edition, similar festivals are scheduled to be held in Chattogram from March 11–13, Rajshahi from May 13–15, Sylhet from June 10–13, and Khulna from September 09–11 next years. The organizers further expressed their ambition to take the festival beyond Bangladesh in the future, although details regarding the first international edition will be announced at a later stage.
