Private cars included in national Fuel Pass system
The government has brought private cars under the ‘Fuel Pass’ facility across the country, aiming to ensure transparency and accountability in the fuel distribution process.
“The government has expanded the ‘Fuel Pass’ facility by bringing private cars under the fuel pass app,” according to the statement of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
The statement said the scope of the fuel pass system has been expanded, adding that alongside motorcycles, private cars will now be able to receive fuel pass services.
Private cars have been brought under the fuel pass registration system. In the initial stage, ‘Ka’, ‘Kha’ and ‘Ga’ series cars have been opened for registration under the fuel pass, the announcement said.
It added that private cars of other series will be brought under the registration process in phases.
All filling stations in the capital will soon supply fuel to private cars registered under the fuel pass system.
