Digital upgrade boosts access, transparency nationwide
Aspire to Innovate has launched the second version of the Bangladesh National Portal, aiming to modernise government information systems and enhance digital public services.
The upgraded platform, known as Framework 2.0, is being implemented under the supervision of the Cabinet Division and the Information and Communication Technology Division. Rollout began in phases from December 21, 2025, covering ministries and government offices nationwide.
Currently, nearly 52,000 government offices are connected to the portal, with over 35,500 websites already hosted on the new framework. Authorities said additional government websites at directorate, division, district, upazila and union levels are being integrated gradually.
Officials confirmed the platform has undergone rigorous testing and certification by the Software and Hardware Quality Testing and Certification Centre, ensuring its functionality and security.
The upgraded system introduces a cloud-based, microservices architecture, making it faster, more stable and scalable. Enhanced features include improved search capabilities, real-time updates, content caching and stronger security measures such as single sign-on, two-factor authentication and SSL encryption.
According to project officials, the portal now records more than three billion digital interactions annually, reflecting growing reliance on online government services.
The platform also provides citizens with access to essential information, including services, tenders, job circulars and budget data, reducing the need for in-person visits.
Officials said the initiative will strengthen transparency, accountability and citizens’ right to information while lowering government costs and improving service delivery efficiency.
