Bootcamp launched to empower future developers

The bdapps Award Night 2026 was held in Dhaka, bringing together mobile app developers, young innovators and industry stakeholders to celebrate achievements in Bangladesh’s growing digital ecosystem. The event also marked the launch of a two-month bootcamp aimed at nurturing future app developers.

At the function, several individuals and one initiatives were recognised for their contributions to innovation and technology. Md Saiful Islam, a student of Northern University of Business and Technology in Khulna, received the “Campus Ambassador Champion” award for building an active tech community on campus.

Farah Sayeed Abdul Bari was honoured as “She Squad Champion” for promoting women’s participation in technology, while Muhammad Tawseef Hossain from Barishal won the “Emerging Individual Developer 2025” award. The app “Biye Bondhu,” developed by Abu Bakar Siddique from Chattogram, was named “Emerging App of 2025.”

The National Android Development Bootcamp (NADB), launched at the event by Mohammad Showkat Kader Chowdhury of Robi Axiata PLC, aims to equip young developers with technical skills, business insights and hands-on experience.

A panel discussion titled “Youth-led Innovation: Driving Bangladesh’s Digital Future” highlighted the importance of skill development and innovation. Speakers from leading tech organisations stressed the need for practical training and mentorship to prepare youth for the evolving digital economy.

The initiative reflects growing efforts to build a skilled developer community and strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global technology landscape.
