Dhaka and Beijing seek deeper cooperation in strategic sectors.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen on Monday called on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, with the two sides discussing ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in information and communications, energy and investment.

During the meeting, Ambassador Yao Wen and Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam held an in-depth discussion on strengthening China-Bangladesh cooperation in the information and communications sector, as well as expanding collaboration in energy and investment.

The meeting highlighted the importance of further enhancing bilateral economic and technological cooperation between the two countries, particularly in sectors with potential for greater investment and knowledge sharing.

China and Bangladesh have been strengthening cooperation across various fields, including digital technology, infrastructure, energy, trade and investment.

The meeting reflects continued efforts by both sides to explore new areas of cooperation and further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship.
