Digital Media Forum (DMF), one of Bangladesh’s leading organizations representing digital media professionals, celebrated its third founding anniversary and officially stepped into its fourth year through a special event held at its temporary office in Dhaka.
The anniversary program was attended by DMF members, Advisory Board members Mr. Moin Bokul and Mr. Nurul Islam, alongside journalists from various national and online media outlets, corporate professionals, and representatives from different organizations.
Speaking at the event, DMF President Md. Delowar Hossain emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovation, and professional development in the digital media sector.
“There is no alternative to collective efforts in promoting digital journalism and strengthening the digital media ecosystem. DMF remains committed to contributing to the revival of digital platforms, encouraging innovation, and advancing technology-driven journalism in Bangladesh,” he said.
He further stated that DMF aims to build stronger connections among media professionals and institutions while fostering innovation and capacity building within the industry. He also highlighted the organization’s commitment to combating misinformation, rumors, and digital propaganda through responsible journalism and professional collaboration.
Addressing the growing demand for skilled media professionals in the digital age, Delowar Hossain announced an ambitious initiative to train 500 media professionals within the next year through various capacity-building programs.
During the event, DMF also announced that the “Digital Media Forum Excellence Award 2026” will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Details regarding the application process and the jury board will be officially announced soon.
DMF Advisor and Web & Digital Media Lead at Star News, Moin Uddin Bokul, praised the organization’s efforts over the past three years, stating that DMF has been playing a significant role in uniting digital journalists and supporting their professional growth.
DMF has worked tirelessly to strengthen the digital media community and promote professional standards. I believe the organization will continue to expand its activities beyond Dhaka and contribute to the development of journalists in district and rural areas across the country,” he said.
Another DMF Advisor and Online In-Charge of The Daily Inqilab, Nurul Islam, highlighted the importance of skilled human resources in the era of information technology and artificial intelligence.
“In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, developing skilled professionals is one of the greatest challenges. DMF is taking meaningful initiatives to address this challenge and contribute to the digital transformation of the media sector,” he remarked.
He also emphasized the need for continuous learning and professional development, expressing hope that DMF would organize training programs, seminars, and workshops on multimedia journalism, digital content creation, and emerging media technologies in collaboration with other journalist organizations.
Founded on June 17, 2023, by a group of dedicated and visionary digital media professionals, Digital Media Forum (DMF) has been actively working to support journalists, create employment opportunities, enhance professional skills, and contribute to the overall development of Bangladesh’s digital media industry.
As DMF enters its fourth year, the organization reaffirmed its commitment to building a more skilled, innovative, and united digital media community for the future.
