Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka highlights cleanliness, sustainability and community participation
DHAKA, Sept 23: The High Commission of India in Dhaka observed Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, reaffirming its commitment to cleanliness, community participation and sustainable practices.
The Indian mission shared details of the observance in a Facebook post on Wednesday noon, saying the programme was held under the campaign “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”
High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi administered the Swachhata Pledge to officials of the High Commission on the occasion.
The campaign encourages collective action on cleanliness, responsible waste management and sustainable practices, according to the mission.
As part of the initiative, Safai Mitras were also felicitated for their contribution to maintaining cleanliness and a healthy environment.
The High Commission said the observance reflects its commitment to promoting a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future through community participation and responsible practices.
The initiative is part of India’s broader Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, which focuses on cleanliness and public participation in sanitation and environmental sustainability.
