IVAC Expands Appointment Booking Window to Include Fridays, Saturdays

DHAKA, July 18: In a move expected to improve access to visa services for Bangladeshi applicants, the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) has expanded its appointment booking schedule by introducing dedicated booking hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

IVAC announced officially at their website from yesterday.

Under the revised schedule, appointment booking will continue to remain available from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday. Additionally, applicants will now be able to book appointments on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, marking an increase in booking availability to all seven days of the week.

The extended booking schedule is expected to provide greater flexibility for applicants, particularly those who are unable to secure appointments during regular weekdays. The initiative is also likely to help streamline the appointment process by distributing demand more evenly throughout the week.

The revised timings apply exclusively to appointment booking, while applicants are advised to follow the official guidelines regarding visa application submission, required documentation and reporting times.

The development comes as demand for Indian visas from Bangladesh continues to rise following the resumption of regular tourist visa services, with many applicants seeking appointments for travel, business, education and medical purposes.

Applicants have been encouraged to complete their online visa application accurately and book appointments only through the official IVAC appointment system.
