Chhatra Pokkho delegation meets Brunei envoy to deepen bilateral ties

A delegation of Chhatra Pokkho's central leadership met with Brunei Darussalam Ambassador to Bangladesh Haji Haris bin Haji Osman on Tuesday, discussing ways to deepen bilateral ties with a focus on higher education, skilled manpower, investment and cultural exchanges.

The meeting in Dhaka also discussed expanding opportunities for Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in Brunei and creating employment opportunities for skilled and trained Bangladeshi workers.

Chhatra Pokkho Central President Mohammad Prince, General Secretary Rafiur Rahman Fattah, Joint General Secretary Fawzia Korbi and Assistant Finance Secretary Saifullah Fihad attended the meeting.

During the discussions, the delegation stressed the need to expand international opportunities in education, vocational training and employment to help Bangladesh's young population develop into a skilled workforce.

The participants also exchanged views on increasing investment and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Brunei, alongside greater collaboration in education and culture.

They emphasised strengthening people-to-people contacts, particularly among young people, through educational and cultural exchanges to further consolidate ties between the two countries.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on Bangladesh's contemporary political situation and the role of the younger generation.
