The meeting underscored education as a key pillar of China-Bangladesh cooperation
DHAKA, August 24, 2026: Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met with Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon on August 24 to discuss ways to further strengthen educational cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
During the meeting, the two sides held an in-depth exchange of views on expanding bilateral educational cooperation, including policy communication, experience sharing and skills development.
Ambassador Yao Wen said educational exchanges and cooperation are an important component of the longstanding China-Bangladesh relationship. He expressed hope that the two countries would further enhance policy communication and share experiences in education.
The Chinese ambassador also underscored the importance of promoting “Chinese + vocational skills” education, saying such initiatives could contribute to human resource development and further enrich cooperation between the two countries.
He added that deeper educational engagement would contribute to building a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era.
Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon appreciated China’s achievements in the field of education and expressed Bangladesh’s interest in further deepening exchanges and practical cooperation with China.
The minister said enhanced cooperation and experience-sharing could help Bangladesh develop more highly skilled and future-oriented human resources.
