China hosts Bangladesh PMO officials’ training reception.
China has hosted a pre-departure reception for a
training delegation of senior officials from Bangladesh's Prime Minister's
Office (PMO), underscoring growing bilateral cooperation and exchanges on
governance and development.
The reception was held at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Monday evening, a
Chinese Embassy press release said here today.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen attended the event and delivered
remarks while Adviser to the Prime Minister Md. Ismail Zabihullah and other
representatives were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Yao said high-level exchanges and
cooperation between Bangladesh and China across various sectors have remained
highly active in recent months.
The upcoming training programme for senior PMO officials in China reflects
the continuation and deepening of the positive momentum in bilateral
relations, he noted.
The ambassador encouraged the Bangladeshi officials to gain a comprehensive
understanding of China's modernization process through exchanges of ideas and
field visits, and to draw lessons relevant to Bangladesh's own development
priorities.
Zabihullah expressed appreciation to the Chinese Embassy for arranging the
training opportunity and said Bangladesh is keen to further strengthen
cooperation with China.
He stressed the importance of enhancing exchanges on governance experiences
and advancing the Bangladesh-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative
Partnership to a higher level.
The training programme is expected to provide participating officials with
opportunities to observe China's development practices and exchange views on
governance and public administration.
