Govt forms committee to finalise Cyber Protection amendment law.
The government has formed a five-member cabinet committee, headed by Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam, to review and finalise the draft "Cyber Protection (Amendment) Act, 2026".
The other members of the committee are Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division today.
The committee will review the draft Cyber Protection (Amendment) Act, 2026 and provide necessary recommendations.
