Deputy Speaker stresses values-based education for youth.
Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal, MP, today underscored the importance of education in nurturing a generation enriched with morality, patriotism and human values.
Kayser Kamal said, “Education is the backbone of a nation. Students must be inspired by moral values, patriotism and humanity to become the leaders of tomorrow. He urged them to devote themselves to their studies with sincerity and dedication.”
He made the remarks during a view-exchange meeting with teachers and students of Don Bosco School at the educational institution in the capital, according to a press release.
The Deputy Speaker noted that students from different religious backgrounds study together at Don Bosco School, describing it as a unique example of harmony and cultural coexistence.
He also stressed the importance of engaging children with Bangladesh’s culture and heritage, sports and co-curricular activities for their overall development.
Highlighting the growing concern over drug abuse among youths, he said coordinated efforts by families, educational institutions and society are essential to protect children and adolescents from the menace of drugs.
The Deputy Speaker also assured government support for the development of the school.
Following the visit, he joined a photo session with teachers, students and other stakeholders and signed autographs for the students.
He enjoyed a cultural programme performed by the students and highly appreciated their talents and participation.
School authorities, representatives of guardians, concerned officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, and journalists from various print and electronic media outlets were present on the occasion.
