Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anne today warned that the government would take immediate action against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order.
"We have struggled for 17 years to live in peace. We have agitated, fought and sacrificed. If we cannot live in peace now, then when will we?" he told a brief rally at South Chhiladi in Kushakhali Union under Chandraganj Upazila of the district this afternoon.
About the drug menace, the minister alleged that some influential people were involved in drug trafficking and urged them to abandon the illegal trade.
