Rain, thunderstorms likely nationwide; temperatures may slightly decrease.
Rain or thundershowers are likely across the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.
The bulletin also said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under Rajshahi division and Sayedpur under Rangpur division, while today's minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius in Sylhet under Sylhet division.
In the last 24 hours till 6am today, Bandarban recorded the highest rainfall of 28 millimetres.
The sun will set at 6:48pm today and rise at 5:21am tomorrow in Dhaka.
