Sophos Named “Champion” in Omdia Cybersecurity MSP Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026

Global cybersecurity leader Sophos has been named a “Champion” in the Omdia Cybersecurity MSP Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026, a recognition awarded by leading analyst firm Omdia.

The recognition highlights Sophos’ strength in managed security services, partner ecosystem innovation, and its integrated cybersecurity portfolio, which enables Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver advanced protection and resilience to customers worldwide.

According to Omdia, Sophos stands out for its industry-leading Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, widely adopted across the global cybersecurity channel. Sophos MDR currently protects more than 40,000 direct customers and an additional 235,000 customers through MSP partners, making it one of the most widely deployed managed security services globally.

The report also underscores the strength of Sophos’ partner program, which enables MSPs to deliver 24/7 managed cybersecurity services across organizations of all sizes and security maturity levels. This allows partners to scale their offerings while improving customer protection against increasingly complex cyber threats.

Omdia further recognized Sophos for its expanding product innovation, including Workspace Protection, built on the Sophos Protected Browser and fully integrated into the Sophos Central platform. The solution is designed to enhance security for distributed and hybrid workforces in modern enterprise environments.

The Omdia Cybersecurity MSP Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026 evaluated 24 global cybersecurity vendors based on partner program execution, managed services enablement, portfolio competitiveness, and ecosystem momentum. Sophos was one of only three vendors recognized across both this report and the companion Omdia Cybersecurity Platform Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026.

The report also highlighted the strategic importance of Sophos’ platform evolution following its acquisition of Secureworks in early 2025, which further strengthened its enterprise security capabilities and extended its threat detection and response portfolio.
