DHAKA: Pakistani cricket legend Wasim Akram has invited Bangladeshi consumers to visit the Hemani Herbals stalls at the upcoming fourth “Made in Pakistan” exhibition in Dhaka.

In a video message, Akram, a former Pakistan captain, cricketer, coach and commentator, encouraged Bangladeshis to visit the Hemani Herbals stalls at the exhibition, which will be held from September 22 to 26 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

He said visitors would find a range of beauty, skincare and healthcare products at the Hemani Herbals stalls.

Akram also expressed his interest in visiting Bangladesh during the exhibition, if his schedule permits, to take part in the celebrations and meet consumers who purchase Hemani Herbals products.

The Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI) is organising the fourth “Made in Pakistan” exhibition alongside the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Opportunities Conference. The initiative aims to promote bilateral trade, create new commercial opportunities and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

PAEI founder M Khurshid Barlas told The Shuttle Times that the exhibition would showcase a wide range of Pakistani products and industries, with a focus on sectors that have potential for greater commercial engagement with Bangladesh.

Hemani Herbals Director Sayed Hasnain Haider said the company has booked two stalls, 20A and 21A, in Zone A of the exhibition.

“We have a big plan for Bangladesh, including creating distribution channels and establishing our own factory in the future,” Haider said.

As part of its expansion strategy in Bangladesh, the company has appointed Wasim Akram as a brand ambassador, aiming to build greater consumer trust and awareness in the Bangladeshi market, he said.

According to Haider, Hemani Herbals has been operating since 1949 and has built its business around natural care and herbal products.

He said the company currently offers more than 2,500 products, covering skincare, herbal healthcare, fragrances and other lifestyle and wellness categories.

Haider said Hemani combines traditional herbal remedies with modern research and quality standards.

The company currently serves customers in more than 85 countries and has received recognition as Pakistan’s “Best Exporter of Herbal Products”, along with multiple “Brand of the Year” awards, he said.

The participation of Hemani Herbals comes as Pakistani companies seek to expand their presence in Bangladesh through trade exhibitions and business-to-business engagements.

The five-day “Made in Pakistan” exhibition is expected to provide a platform for Pakistani businesses to showcase products and explore partnerships with Bangladeshi importers, distributors and consumers.
