International Security Expo 2026 concludes in Dhaka

The second edition of the International Security Expo 2026 concluded in Dhaka on Saturday, bringing together domestic and international technology companies, entrepreneurs, business leaders and security experts to showcase the latest innovations in security and safety technology.

The three-day exhibition ended on Saturday evening at the Navaratri Hall of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), creating opportunities for networking, business partnerships and knowledge exchange alongside the technology showcase.

The event was jointly organised by technology product and service provider i-Station Limited and Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), the trade organisation representing information technology businesses.

Around 150 leading security brands from 10 countries and more than 500 security and safety experts participated in the exhibition, according to the organisers.

Madhu Sudan Saha, managing director of i-Station Limited, said the event exceeded the organisers' expectations.

“The overwhelming interest and participation of local and international attendees prove that new potential is emerging in Bangladesh's cybersecurity and safety sector,” he said.

He said the successful conclusion of the exhibition would encourage the organisers to arrange larger events in the future.

“We believe this exhibition has opened doors for new business relationships, partnerships and collaborations,” he added.

Foreign exhibitors also reported strong interest from Bangladeshi businesses and visitors.

Mandy Shu, sales manager of Shenzhen Newbridge Communication Equipment Co Ltd, said her company had established business connections with more than 260 traders and delegates during the three-day event.

“Our experience participating in the fair has been extremely wonderful. We received a tremendous amount of interest and enthusiasm from the people of Bangladesh toward Chinese products,” she said.

She said the exhibition had increased the company's brand visibility and expressed hope of developing new customers, business opportunities and long-term relationships in Bangladesh.

Roni Saha, general manager of Smart Safety and Automation Limited, said the exhibition provided an important platform for showcasing security, surveillance, fire and safety, automation and integrated solutions.

“Right from the beginning, we received a better-than-expected response,” he said, adding that live demonstrations helped exhibitors understand customer requirements.

Saiful Islam Siddique, managing director of ICC Communications Ltd and senior vice-president of ISPAAB, said visitors, corporate clients and business owners showed considerable interest in TCL night-vision security cameras displayed at the exhibition.

“Many placed advance bookings and expressed interest in taking distributorships. We have already started offering distributorships nationwide,” he said.

Representing China's EBKN Company, sales manager Rica said Bangladesh was a promising market for technology products.

“All the leaflets, brochures and visiting cards we brought have run out. We received a response beyond our expectations and would love to participate in such events in the future,” she said.

BDCOM Online Limited also used the exhibition to showcase its technology solutions.

Sadman Sakib, business development manager of the company, said they displayed cyber defence, EMS and SmartTracker vehicle-tracking solutions.

He said the launch of EMS was aimed at providing international-standard services using domestic technology, adding that participation in the exhibition helped strengthen networking, brand presence and new business opportunities.

Al Shahriar, project design engineer at Hikvision Bangladesh, said the company received an encouraging response after showcasing its AIoT-based security solutions.

The exhibition also provided an opportunity to discuss smart education, smart traffic and intelligent facility solutions with customers, he said.

Andy Sun, project head for South Asia at Dahua Technology Co Ltd, praised the organisers for the exhibition's arrangements and presentation.

He said the initiative of BCS to promote the country's security technology sector was commendable and expressed hope that larger events would be organised in the future.

Computer City Technologies Limited participated in the exhibition for the second time.

Its creative brand manager Riaz Ahammed said the company showcased seven international security solution brands and received a strong response from visitors.

He said the exhibition helped raise public awareness about security technology while creating opportunities to connect with dealers, corporate institutions and other stakeholders.

The organisers said the exhibition was aimed not only at showcasing security and safety technologies but also at creating a platform for business networking, knowledge sharing and future collaboration among local and international industry players.
