HSC exams in Bangladesh set to begin July 2.
Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee today published the schedule for this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
According to the published schedule, the exams will begin on July 2 and the examinations will continue until August.
Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee and Examination Controller of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this information to BSS.
According to the exam routine, the HSC exams will commence on July 2 at 10:00 AM with the compulsory Bengali first paper exam. Morning exams will run until 1:00 PM, while afternoon exams will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The theoretical exams will continue until August 8. Subsequently, instructions have been given to complete the practical exams for all subjects by August 15.
The Inter-Education Board Examination Control Committee has provided special instructions for examinees in the schedule regarding exam conduct and mark distribution.
In the instructions, the Inter-Education Board stated that exams would be held continuously for the time specified on the question paper. There would be no break between the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Creative Question (CQ) sections.
The schedule said that 30 minutes will be allotted for the 30-mark MCQ section, and 2 hours and 30 minutes for the 70-mark creative or CQ section.
For the subjects involving practical exams, 25 minutes will be allotted for the 25-mark MCQ section and 2 hours and 35 minutes for the 50-mark creative or CQ section.
According to the instructions, examinees must take their seats in the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the exam starts. While examinees may use standard scientific calculators, they are not permitted to bring any kind of programmable calculator or mobile phones to the exam center.
Additionally, each examinee must pass the theoretical, multiple-choice, and practical parts separately.
Examinees will be able to collect their admission cards from their respective educational institutions at least 7 days before the exams begin.
