Education minister inspects textbook printing presses unannounced
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon made surprise visits to six printing presses here to inspect the quality of textbooks being printed for free distribution among students in the 2027 academic year and assess the progress of the work.
The minister visited the printing presses in different parts of the capital without prior notice after midnight on Monday.
The presses are - Mousumi Offset Press, Faiza Printing Press, Shaily Printers, Barnashikha Offset Printers, Sonali Web Printers and National Printers.
During the visits, the education minister inspected the ongoing textbook printing operations on the ground. He closely examined the quality of paper and ink, the precision of book binding and the progress of the printing process.
He also spoke with the officials and personnel involved in printing the textbooks.
During the inspection, the minister stressed maintaining the prescribed quality standards in the printing process so that students can receive quality textbooks on time.
He also issued necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to ensure the quality of the textbooks.
