Govt begins 2027 Hajj pre-registration for aspiring pilgrims.
The ministry of religious affairs has asked all pilgrims, wishing to perform the Holy Hajj next year, to provide information for pre-registration of the Hajj.
“Providing information for pre-registration activities is the first step for performing the Hajj,” according to a letter issued by the ministry yesterday.
It said during pre-registration, pilgrims must have a national identity card or Bangladeshi passport or birth certificate, passport-sized photo, mobile number and bank account.
The ministry letter also said that one bank account will be accepted for more than one pilgrims from same family.
It, however, mentioned that in order to make financial transactions safe and discipline of Hajj related activities, pilgrims must have bank accounts from both government and private management.
Besides, all pilgrims who have not previously provided bank account information during pre-registration have also been asked to provide bank account information during registration, it said.
The ministry also said that pre-registration for 2027 Hajj was begun from July 1.
According to the Hajj roadmap announced by the Saudi government, the Hajj registration must be completed by September 26 this year.
