Baishakh symbolizes unity harmony and renewal spirit Bengali

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury today said Pahela Baishakh is one of the most significant festivals of the Bangali nation, reflecting unity, harmony, and deep cultural bonds. 

"The festival is not merely a celebration but a powerful symbol of secular spirit and human values," he said. 

He made the remarks after participating in a colorful Baishakhi Shobhajatra organized by Dhaka University. 

The minister added that the festival represents a collective aspiration to move beyond the grief, decay, and sorrows of the past year and step into the Bangla New Year with renewed hope and enthusiasm. 

He extended warm New Year greetings to everyone attending the traditional procession. 

The procession saw participation from government officials, cultural personalities, students, and citizens from different walks of life, highlighting the inclusive nature of the celebration and the strong cultural unity of the Bengali people.
