Minu vows merit-based teacher recruitment, school development

Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, said that the students of Rajshahi Government Girls' High School have already established themselves at the national and international level.
 
Quality education and a bright future for the present and future students must be ensured, he said. 

He added saying today's students are the future of the nation and will lead the country in the coming days.
 
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed six-storey academic building of Rajshahi Government Girls' High School, built at a cost of Tk 9.36 crore, this noon.
 
He made it clear regarding the teacher recruitment process that no influence or recommendation will be accepted in the recruitment process and  teachers must be appointed only on the basis of merit and qualification.
 
Land Minister Minu has given instructions for the infrastructural development of the school and protection of its overall environment.

He said that the unused pond of the institution must be filled up quickly and brought under the specific boundary wall. 

He also warned that encroachment of the school's property or any kind of illegal activity will not be tolerated. 
He also advised planting various fruit trees including mango, blackberry and tamarind in the school premises to meet the nutritional and vitamin C needs of the students.
 
Headmistress of Rajshahi Government Girls' High School Rahima Akhter Jahan, teachers and students of the school, local political leaders and journalists were present.
