Bangladesh Emerges as a Destination for Global Luxury Perfume Brands at Competitive Prices

DHAKA, July 23, 2026 — Bangladesh's fragrance and luxury perfume market is undergoing a significant transformation as consumers gain easier access to internationally renowned perfume brands at prices that are often more competitive than those in global retail markets.

Bangladeshi consumers largely depended on relatives returning from abroad, duty-free shops or online importers to purchase premium perfumes in last few years. Besides paying higher prices, buyers also faced the risk of counterfeit products.

However, the market landscape is rapidly changing as international brands expand their presence through local distributors and manufacturing investments.

Industry insiders say Bangladesh's expanding beauty and personal care sector, coupled with rising consumer spending and a competitive business environment, is attracting global fragrance companies seeking to strengthen their footprint in South Asia.

A local distributor company MMC Luxury Perfume providing the opportunity to get the international brands with competitive price.

One owner of the company Iskandar Chowdhury told The Shuttle Times that they are providing many of the world's leading perfume brands including Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Tom Ford, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Giorgio Armani, Hermès, Creed, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Bvlgari, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Lattafa, Armaf, Afnan, Rasasi and Ajmal—are available in Bangladesh through their channels.

He said, at least 100 international brand’s perfume is available at their shops.

According to industry analysts, local distributors have reduced logistics, import and distribution costs while improving supply chain efficiency. These cost advantages could allow international-quality perfumes to reach Bangladeshi consumers at more affordable prices while enhancing the country's export competitiveness.

The growing presence of luxury perfume retailers is also reshaping the market. MMC Luxury Perfume has expanded its portfolio by offering authentic collections from many of the world's most prestigious perfume houses.

As a result, Bangladeshi consumers no longer need to travel abroad to purchase premium perfumes. Authentic luxury and niche fragrances are becoming increasingly accessible through local retailers, offering greater product variety, competitive pricing and faster availability.

For example, a luxury perfume retailing for US$100 in Dubai or Europe may become significantly more expensive after import duties, freight charges and distribution costs are added in Bangladesh.

However, if the same international-quality product is manufactured locally using imported raw materials and global production standards, it can be offered at a more competitive price due to lower production and labour costs.

Business leaders believe the entry of international perfume manufacturers and retailers could help Bangladesh develop into one of South Asia's emerging fragrance and personal care manufacturing hubs. Beyond meeting growing domestic demand, the sector has the potential to attract foreign direct investment, generate employment, facilitate technology transfer and increase export earnings through value-added manufacturing.

MMC Luxury Perfume has invited local fragrance enthusiasts to explore its collections online or visit its physical outlet.
