Second batch of 22 Bangladeshi students leaves for Pakistan under scholarship programme
DHAKA, Sept 24: A second batch of 22 Bangladeshi students departed for Pakistan on Thursday to pursue higher education under the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor (Allama Iqbal Scholarships Programme).
Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider was present at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to see off the students.
The students expressed excitement about pursuing their studies in Pakistan and described the scholarship programme as a valuable opportunity to realise their academic aspirations.
They thanked the government and people of Pakistan for providing the opportunity to receive fully funded higher education in Pakistani universities.
The students will pursue undergraduate, master's and PhD programmes at leading universities in Pakistan under the scholarship scheme.
On Wednesday, another 42 Bangladeshi students left for Pakistan under the second phase of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.
The scholarship programme is part of Pakistan's efforts to strengthen educational and people-to-people ties between the two countries by facilitating Bangladeshi students' access to higher education in Pakistan.
