Khalilur Rahman meets Pakistan’s Ishaq Dar, reaffirms commitment to multilateralism

Foreign Minister and UN president Khalilur Rahman met Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and discussed issues of common interest, according to posts by the two officials on X on Friday.

“Today I met with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan,” Khalilur Rahman said in an X post shared on Friday afternoon.

The two sides discussed a range of issues of common interest and reaffirmed their commitment and support for multilateralism, he said.

Dar also shared the same post on his verified X account on Friday afternoon, indicating the meeting between the two foreign ministers.

The meeting comes amid growing engagement between Bangladesh and Pakistan, with both sides pursuing greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
