Made in Pakistan Exhibition Creates New Avenues for Trade with Bangladesh
The five-day-long 4th "Made in Pakistan" Exhibition kicked off at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city on Tuesday.
Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI) organized the exhibition alongside the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Opportunities Conference, aims to boost bilateral trade, unlock new commercial avenues, and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
The five-day-long exhibition will be held September 22 to 26 remaining open to visitors daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Export Promotion Bureau Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Mohammad Hasan Arif as chief guest while Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Haider was present as special guest in the funciton.
PAEI founder M. Khurshid Barlas told The Shuttle Times thata wide range of Pakistani products were displayed at the exhibition, including textiles, food products, electrical appliances, kitchenware and crockery, consumer products, footwear, household goods, gems and jewellery, fashion and fabrics, tourism and hospitality services, machinery and equipment, handicrafts and other products.
He mentioned that three types of business entities will participate in the exhibition: Categories A, B, and C. Category A includes global exporters with strong brand equity looking to invest and capture market share. Category B covers medium-sized businesses operating via distribution networks. Category C represents Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The exhibition attracted more than 5,000 visitors and delegates, who showed keen interest in Pakistani products and business opportunities, he added.
The business conference is intended to provide an avenue for companies, entrepreneurs and business representatives from Bangladesh and Pakistan to identify potential partnerships, trade links and investment opportunities.
The successful exhibition provided a platform for Pakistani companies and brands to explore new business opportunities in Bangladesh and further strengthen commercial and economic ties between the two countries.
