Nepal envoy joins candlelight vigil in Dhaka

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari, along with members of the embassy, attended a candlelight vigil organised by the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society (BNFS) to mourn the loss of lives and property caused by devastating flash floods in Nepal on Sunday night.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Bhandari expressed condolences to the victims of the floods and their families.

He also thanked the government and people of Bangladesh for their generous support and solidarity with Nepal and the Nepali people during the difficult time.

The vigil was organised as a mark of solidarity with those affected by the devastating floods and to express condolences to the families who lost loved ones and property.

The ambassador appreciated the continued support extended by Bangladesh, highlighting the close friendship and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The event brought together members of the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, the Nepalese diplomatic community and others who joined in mourning the victims and expressing solidarity with the people of Nepal.

Bangladesh’s solidarity reflects the enduring friendship between the neighbours.
