BIJF holds AGM, adopts audited financial report

The Bangladesh ICT Journalists Forum (BIJF), the registered organization of professional ICT journalists, held its annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday, September 7, 2026.

BIJF President Hitler A Halim chaired the AGM, while Vice President Bhuiyan Mohammad Inam Lenin delivered the welcome speech at the conference room of the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) head office in the capital's Dhanmondi area.

BIJF General Secretary Sabbin Hasan presented the organization's annual activities report, highlighting its key initiatives and activities during the reporting period.

Treasurer Saiful Islam presented the financial report for the fiscal year from April 2024 to June 2025. Following a detailed discussion, members unanimously approved the audited financial report.

The president, general secretary and treasurer also took part in a question-and-answer session with members, responding to various queries regarding the organization's activities, finances and future plans.

Members actively participated in discussions on proposed changes and amendments to the BIJF constitution. They also put forward a number of proposals and recommendations concerning the organization's professional interests, welfare and future activities.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to further strengthen the organization, uphold professional standards in ICT journalism and work for the greater interests of journalists covering the country's technology sector.
