Indian High Commission Dhaka Celebrates Rakhi Bandhan
Dhaka, August 28, 2026: The High Commission of India (HCI) in Dhaka celebrated Rakhi Bandhan on Friday on their office premises, highlighting the enduring values of love, harmony and togetherness associated with the traditional Indian festival.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances by members of the Indian community in Bangladesh, adding colour and cultural richness to the occasion.
As part of the programme, members of the Brahma Kumaris performed the traditional tying of Rakhis, symbolising the bond of affection, mutual respect and solidarity that lies at the heart of Raksha Bandhan.
The event brought together members of the Indian community and others to mark the festival in an atmosphere of warmth and cultural camaraderie.
Raksha Bandhan, traditionally observed to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters, carries broader messages of care, protection, harmony and togetherness.
