Mother’s Request Leads to New Child-Friendly Facility at Indian Visa Centre

Dhaka, August 9: A simple request from a Bangladeshi mother has led to the establishment of a dedicated play area for children at an Indian Visa Application Centre, underscoring India’s emphasis on people-centric initiatives in its engagement with Bangladesh.

During his first inspection of the Indian Visa Application Centre, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi was approached by a mother who requested a safe and child-friendly space where children could remain comfortably while their parents completed visa-related procedures.

Within a few weeks, the request was acted upon and the proposed play area was established at the visa centre.

The mother later returned to the centre with her child to inaugurate the facility herself, turning an individual request into a tangible public service initiative.
