45 primary school headteachers upgraded to Grade 10, gazetted status
The government has upgraded 45 headteachers of government primary schools from Grade 11 to Grade 10, granting them gazetted officer status.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education recently issued a NOTIFICATION, following court rulings and the Finance Division's opinion.
According to the notification, their basic pay scale has been increased from Tk 12,500-30,230 to Tk 16,000-38,640 under the National Pay Scale 2015.
The upgraded headteachers are from various districts across the country.
They will receive the benefits in accordance with the applicable rules, effective from October 27, 2025, the date the government order was issued.
