Minister urges integrity professionalism and united action for national development.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita today urged government employees to serve the nation with integrity and professionalism, placing national interests above political considerations to accelerate the country's development.
Speaking at a meeting of the District Law and Order Committee at the Manikganj District Administration conference room, the minister stressed the need for sincerity, accountability and dedication among public servants in discharging their duties, said a ministry’s press release here.
She said the continued progress of the country depends on the collective efforts of all stakeholders and called on government officials to play a more proactive and responsible role in implementing the commitments of the current government.
Highlighting the growing threat of drug abuse and trafficking, Afroza said the menace is not only a law enforcement challenge but also a serious social problem requiring coordinated efforts from all sections of society.
She urged people from all political and social backgrounds to join a broad-based social movement against drugs and directed law enforcement agencies to take a firm stance against drug dealers to maintain peace and stability.
The minister also underscored the importance of preserving playgrounds and open spaces for the healthy physical and mental development of children and instructed the district administration to take necessary measures in this regard.
Referring to the public mandate received by the present government, she said the administration has been entrusted with the responsibility of governing the country through the confidence and support of the people.
She called upon all government officials and employees to work with dedication and honesty for the welfare of the country and its citizens.
Senior government officials, representatives of law enforcement agencies and officials from various departments in Manikganj attended the meeting.
