Moyeen Khan praises Zubaida Rahman's contributions to education.
BNP Standing Committee Member and Member of Parliament Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today said that Prime Minister's wife and Vice President of Ziaur Rahman Foundation Dr. Zubaida Rahman is working tirelessly to build a talented generation and a knowledge-based society.
He said, "Dr. Zubaida Rahman is a great woman illuminated by her own intellect and wisdom."
Noting that Dr. Zubaida Rahman does not support extravagant or ostentatious birthday celebrations, the veteran BNP leader further said, "Today's birthday also reflects that. Zubaida Rahman is always working tirelessly as Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's shadow companion in building a knowledge-based society and state to create a talented generation."
He made the remarks at a seminar organized on the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Zubaida Rahman this afternoon.
On behalf of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, programs including Quran recitation, children's health check-ups, free medicine distribution, food distribution among street children, and tree planting were held at the T&T Mohila College auditorium in Mohakhali of the city. Later, Moyeen Khan planted a neem tree sapling with guests at the college campus. He also inaugurated the health check-up program for the street children.
Also present on the occasion were Ziaur Rahman Foundation Director Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah, BNP Health Affairs Co-Secretary Dr. Parvez Reza Kankon, Ziaur Rahman Foundation Directors Agriculturist Mahbubul Haque Bachchu, Engineer Zahirul Islam, Engineer Ummasha Umayun Chowdhury, and journalist Hafiz Al Asad Syed Khan.
Additionally, Juba Dal Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Galib Hasan, Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Joint General Secretary Dr. Faruk Ahmed, DAB Law Affairs Secretary Dr. M R Hasan, DAB Assistant Publicity Secretary Dr. Ekramul Islam Shourav, Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Government Medical College Branch Chhatra Dal Acting General Secretary Dr. Tanjim Rubayed Afif, Ziaur Rahman Foundation member Mahmudul Hasan, along with teachers and students from three women's colleges, were present.
