BNP urges patience as government works to meet needs.
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abu Abdullah M Saleh (Saleh Shibli) today said the BNP understands the feelings of the people, urging all to remain patient as the government works to meet their basic needs.
"The government is working to meet the basic needs of the people. For this, everyone needs to be a little patient," he said.
Saleh, also the Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), was speaking as the chief guest at a citizens' gathering at the field of Gobindapur High School in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur this afternoon.
He said implementation of the government's plan to build a prosperous Bangladesh with people of all religions, communities and ideological backgrounds has already begun.
He said every family will receive a Family Card, adding that his own family will also come under its coverage.
He said the government has separate plans for people from different professions and groups, including students, teachers, athletes, businesspeople, farmers and doctors.
Referring to the commitment made on December 25, 2025, on the day of the BNP chairman's return home, Saleh Shibly said the pledge of the party chairman that "I have a plan" would certainly be implemented successfully.
Addressing party leaders and activists, Saleh Shibly said differences of opinion and some divisions are normal in politics, but these should not go beyond the interests of the party and the country.
Referring to divisions within the party in Faridganj, he said the differences would be resolved soon, urging everyone to give it some time and remain patient.
He also praised party leaders and activists for standing by the party during difficult times and taking part in movements and struggles.
"No matter what anyone says throughout the day, at the end of the day, everyone is united for the interests of the party. Good times are coming for the party," he said.
