Trivedi travelled to New Delhi following talks with Bangladesh PM, foreign minister and home minister
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday, a day after meeting Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in Dhaka.
“Yes, he had the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. They discussed Bangladesh-India relations,” a diplomatic source told The Shuttle Times.
The High Commissioner reached New Delhi yesterday after holding three meetings in Dhaka, seen as part of ongoing consultations to engage constructively and take forward relations between the two neighbours.
On Sunday, he met Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman at State Guest House Padma. Yesterday, he held separate meetings with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed at the Secretariat.
