Court rejects bail plea over breach of PM’s security protocol.
A court here today rejected the bail plea of one Mohibullah Mubin in a case filed over breaching the security protocol of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's motorcade in the capital's Farmgate area recently.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ehsanul Islam passed the order as the defence moved the bail plea before the court.
Police arrested Mubin on September 5 and the concerned court sent him to jail the next day.
Mubin allegedly breached the Prime Minister's security protocol and approached close to the Prime Minister's vehicle when the Premier was on his way to attend a programme at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in the capital's Khamarbari area on the afternoon of September 5.
Police subsequently detained him at the scene.
A case was later filed with Tejgaon Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act in connection with the incident.
