Pak Cos to create new employment

DHAKA, July 22, 2026: Pakistani cosmetics and beauty product manufacturers are seeking to expand their presence in Bangladesh, viewing the country’s fast-growing beauty and personal care market as a promising destination amid evolving regional trade dynamics and a business environment that encourages wider international participation.

Bangladesh Economic Association’s Interim Committee Convener Professor Dr. Mahbub Ullah told The Shuttle Times that Bangladesh's beauty and personal care market is expanding rapidly, driven by rising household incomes, higher remittance inflows, rapid urbanization and growing consumer demand, making the country increasingly attractive to international cosmetics manufacturers.

He also highlighted that the current government is fostering a favorable business climate and a stable political environment, which is actively attracting foreign investors.

Economic think tank leader Dr. Mahbub noted that attracting foreign investors would create substantial local employment opportunities across Bangladesh.

Industry representatives participating in the B-Beauty Tech Expo 2026 in Dhaka said Bangladesh offers significant opportunities for Pakistani brands in cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, haircare and personal care products.

Pakistani Pavilion Draws Strong Interest

B-Beauty Tech Expo 2026 organising company Wem Bangladesh Executive Director Nasimur Rahman told The Shuttle Times that Pakistani companies made up the largest group of participants at the expo and attracted the most visitors.

According to the Pakistan High Commission, Pakistan has a strong presence with 10 exhibitors showcasing their products including Alpha Labs in packaging; Davis Pharmaceutical Laboratories in health supplements; and Evan & Mayer International alongside Kass Cosmetics, both specializing in dermatological and skincare treatments.

Renowned traditional and modern cosmetic brands like the Hashmi Group, New Face Cosmetics, Skincare Company and The Stillman Company (Pvt.) Ltd. are also exhibiting their personal care lineups.

Rounding out the Pakistani pavilion are S. Amden & Company, presenting flavors and fragrances, and United Trading (Pvt.) Ltd., displaying an array of hair and skincare products.

They expressed optimism that stronger business-to-business (B2B) partnerships, distributor networks and retail collaborations could help increase the availability of Pakistani beauty products in the Bangladeshi market.

The renewed interest comes as several market players observe changes in regional supply chains and competition, creating opportunities for new international brands to strengthen their foothold in Bangladesh’s expanding consumer market.

Pakistani exhibitors showcased a wide range of beauty, skincare, herbal cosmetics, perfumes and wellness products during the three-day exhibition, attracting interest from Bangladeshi importers and retailers. Several participating companies held meetings with local businesses to discuss potential agreements and future collaboration.

Business leaders said Bangladesh’s rapidly growing middle-class population, rising consumer spending and increasing demand for quality beauty and personal care products make the country an attractive market for international cosmetics brands.
