Bangladesh Solar Expo 2026 begins November 3 in Dhaka
The two-day 'Bangladesh Solar Expo 2026' is set to begin on November 3 at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in the city’s Agargaon, aiming to expand solar energy through fostering partnership among key stakeholders.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has given his kind consent to inaugurate the mega event, according to a ministry press release issued here today.
It said the Power Division and Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) are jointly organizing the expo from November 3 to 4.
The main objectives of the event are to implement the National Renewable Energy Development Strategy (2026-2030) and inform stakeholders about government policies and incentives for expanding solar power.
Modern technologies related to solar energy will be displayed in the expo, where financing opportunities will be available for fostering effective linkage and partnerships among investors, financial institutions and entrepreneurs.
On the occasion of the expo, a media briefing will be held on November 1 (Sunday) at 11am at 'Bijoy Hall' of Bidyut Bhaban to outline the activities, seminars, documentaries, and data sharing plans.
The expo will gather policymakers, government agencies, development partners, financial institutions, technology suppliers, entrepreneurs, and general consumers.
It will highlight key aspects of the renewable energy sector, including government incentives, modern green technologies, tax and duty benefits, green and climate financing, carbon credits, solar-powered irrigation systems, and training and skill development opportunities.
Alongside the exhibitions, a series of seminars and exchange meetings will also be held.
