Rain likely across Bangladesh in next 24 hours, BMD says.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9 am.
According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka,Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Barishal, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions."
Besides, it said, moderately heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius in Srimangal, while today's minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am today), the highest 36 millimetre rainfall occurred in Sreemangal.
The sun sets at 5:51 pm today and rises at 5:49 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
