Court frames charges against Hasina, 33 others in Hossain murder case
A court here today framed charges in a case filed against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 33 others over the alleged murder of truck driver Hossain during the 2024 July Mass Uprising.
Judge Robiul Alam of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 passed the order this noon, setting November 25 for the start of recording the deposition of the witnesses.
According to the case documents, Md Hossain was shot in the Mohammadpur Chand Udyan area on July 19, 2024, while returning home after leaving his truck in the Gabtoli area. He succumbed to his injuries.
Hossain's mother, Rina Begum, filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station on August 31, 2024. Police filed a charge sheet on November 23, 2025, against 34 people, including Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Hasan Mahmud and Jahangir Kabir Nanak.
