Yasser Khan Choudhury greets journalists on World Press Freedom Day, praising free media and objective journalism.

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury, MP has greeted all the journalists of the country on the occasion of the “World Press Freedom Day” being observed today.

In his greetings, the State Minister praised all the journalists, writers, photographers and artists of the country who are doing journalism courageously and objectively, according to a PID release.

“The role of objective journalism in building a strong foundation of democracy and state formation is undeniable,” he said, adding, “An independent and responsible media acts as a mirror of society, which acts as an important influencer in ensuring the transparency and accountability of the state.”

In his message, the State Minister mentioned that the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman believes in complete freedom of the media.

Praising the relentless work of media persons to ensure the free flow of information, he expressed the hope that journalists will continue their writings upholding the interests of the country. 

Yasser Khan Choudhury wished the journalists continued success.
