BYD named ‘Global Brand of the Year’ at World Branding Awards
[Dhaka, November 06, 2026] Global new-energy vehicle manufacturer BYD has been named Brand of the Year in the Automobiles category (Global Tier) at the 2026–2027 World Branding Awards, held at Hampton Court Palace in London.
Organized by the World Branding Forum, the awards evaluate nominees through brand valuation, consumer market research, and public online voting. The Global Tier designation requires a brand to operate in at least 10 countries across three or more continents. Securing the Global Brand of The Year title reflects BYD’s international presence, extending its recognition beyond any single national market.
“We are honored to receive this global recognition,” said Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD. “For BYD, building a brand means earning the trust of our customers through technology that makes a meaningful difference in their everyday lives. This award encourages us to continue innovating and working with our partners around the world to make sustainable mobility accessible to more people.”
Emphasizing the relevance of this achievement for the local market, Imtiaz Nawsher, Chief Marketing Officer of BYD Bangladesh, stated: “This global recognition reinforces our commitment to bringing world-class New Energy mobility and sustainable innovation to drivers right here in Bangladesh. It reassures our local customers that they are choosing a brand trusted by millions across the globe.”
BYD currently operates in more than 120 countries and regions, including Bangladesh. Moving forward, the company remains focused on expanding its new-energy vehicle portfolio, guided by its vision to “Cool the Earth by 1°C”. Grounded in this commitment, BYD Bangladesh continues to translate this goal locally through impactful initiatives, such as its recent month-long ‘Green Drive’ campaign.
