Premium SUV targets Bangladesh’s growing market
Rangs Limited has unveiled the all-new Mitsubishi Destinator at the Dhaka Motor Show 2026, marking a significant addition to Bangladesh’s expanding SUV segment.
The launch took place at the Mitsubishi pavilion at International Convention City Bashundhara, where the model was introduced as a premium family-oriented vehicle combining performance, comfort and advanced technology.
Positioned as a 7-seater SUV, the Destinator is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged MIVEC engine delivering 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. Its 1,499cc engine capacity places it within a favourable tax bracket, enhancing affordability in the local market.
The interior features a spacious cabin with synthetic leather seats, heat guard technology and a panoramic sunroof. A 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and Yamaha-tuned audio system, enhances the in-car experience.
Safety features include six airbags, Active Yaw Control, Forward Collision Mitigation and a reinforced monocoque body structure. Additional highlights include rear AC vents, air purification technology and distinctive exterior styling.
Company officials said the model is designed to offer a balance of practicality and premium comfort for modern families.
With the launch, Mitsubishi aims to strengthen its foothold in Bangladesh’s competitive SUV market by offering a feature-rich and technologically advanced vehicle.
